The Paleo Diet is short for Paleolithic Diet. In a nutshell, it is the eating lifestyle of our ancient ancestors, the ones that roamed the earth 10,000 years ago. It’s all about eating foods that a caveman might have eaten, back before the days of modern agriculture.
It’s hard to imagine a world without farming, but that’s exactly what the Stone Age man had to cope with to exist. Imagine waking up in the morning and your sole problem for the day is figuring out what you were going to eat, and how you’re going to get it. Back then, you had to travel where the food traveled, and gather what you could along the way.
Wouldn't that be nice if that was all we had to do was worry about today...just figuring out when and how you were going to get your next meal?
Foods consisted of wild animals, whatever they came across and could bring down, and not get killed in the process. It also meant that any non-animal source of food most likely was not passed up. Think berries and nuts, wild growing fruits and vegetables.
This is how humans subsisted on for thousands and thousands of years. Keep in mind, as an advanced society, we are extremely young in terms of the history of the world. Our ancient ancestors ate the "Paleo" way for thousands of years and we still managed to evolve...Look at society today and the number of health related issues as a result of the many processed foods people eat today...Let's get back to the basics and start eating right again!

We are just ordinary people doing extraordinary things...My name is Brian and I stumbled upon Paleo through Crossfit training. In my "real job" I am required to stay in top physical condition. Since I am passionate about what I do for a living (I fly airplanes for a living), I have become passionate about living a healthy lifestyle as well. Too often I come across people who simply don't take care of themselves. It's really not that hard to eat right and be healthy...that is, if you want to...and we are here to help!
